President’s Initiatives to Help Homeowners Avoid Foreclosure

Blaine, WA, February 12, 2008 — Today SaveMeFromForeclosure.com, LLC announced their support for President Bush’s HOPE NOW alliance and his initiatives to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. 

In President Bush’s State of the Union address he said: 

"Our shared responsibilities extend beyond matters of taxes and spending. On housing, we must trust Americans with the responsibility of homeownership and empower them to weather turbulent times in the housing market. My administration brought together the HOPE NOW alliance, which is helping many struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure. And Congress can help even more. Tonight I ask you to pass legislation to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, modernize the Federal Housing Administration, and allow state housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to help homeowners refinance their mortgages. These are difficult times for many American families, and by taking these steps, we can help more of them keep their homes."

As we have seen foreclosures significantly rise over the past year it is important to note that the Federal government is taking immediate action to help homeowners stop foreclosure.  “These proposed initiatives will assist homeowners struggling with higher mortgage payments and decreasing property values,” said Dreama Lee, President of SaveMeFromForeclosure.com, LLC.  She continued, “these reform initiatives will  hep more homeowners stay in their homes and deal with pending foreclosures when they arise.”
